proXPN is an Internet privacy and security tool for Windows. In a nutshell, proXPN is a VPN client that connects to a VPN network hosted by proxpn.com. They have two plans: free and pro. The pro plan offers unlimited download and upload speeds, better encryption and more. Both plans don't really differ much except fot the available bandwidth.
proXPN is a security tool: connecting to a VPN network and routing all your traffic through it, you are essentially protected from other users of the same network prying on your activities. Every bit of information that you send is encrypted using advanced algorithms.
When you connect to proXPN, you are assigned to a new IP address in the United States. So, by simply using this app, you can bypass some geographical restrictions used by sites like YouTube, Google, and Hulu.
proXPN requires to create a free account before you can start using the application. Once you do that and connect to the VPN, you can check your connection status from the application's "Connection status" window. There is also a full log of all your activity while you were connected to the VPN.
All in all, proXPN is a very nice tool that looks well made. In my testing, I had no problems with it. It was fast, stable and I was even able to watch some videos online. The paid version isn't really expensive.
